I’ve read in many articles that in embracing more of a hygge lifestyle we are in turn also adding more self care to our lives…if hygge is about embracing moments, comfort, simplicity and joy then it would make sense that self care is at the forefront of the movement, right?
Hygge and Self-Care go hand in hand.
As I put my focus towards adapting my life to embrace hygge more I am naturally creating lists of activities that can help me do that – which some of these lists are also on my self care activities list – see the partnership here? When we are taking care of ourselves properly we are creating more happiness, comfort and security for ourselves – three main points of hygge – we are creating a place of warmth for ourselves through a hygge lifestyle.
25 Self-Care Activities that will Help You Embrace Hygge:
Take a hot, relaxing bath. Add some bath salts and natural herbs or flowers, or add bubbles.
Curl up with a good book.
Get outside and take a hike. Take in all the nature around you.
Grab a cozy blanket and go down the rabbit hole of a Netflix Binge or have a movie-a-thon.
Make a cup of hot tea and spend some time journaling.
Crochet, Knit, or Sew.
Or grab your paintbrushes and paint…or finger paint!
