Tea is seriously one of my top five favorite things. I have this simple belief that most things, if not all things, can be fixed with a cup of hot tea. Maybe it’s all in the moment that comes along with sitting and sipping a mug of tea. It brings its own sense of simplicity and mindfulness.
Even a glass of refreshing iced tea has a reminiscent and relaxing feel to it. Sitting in the sunshine with a glass of cold, fresh brewed tea is a perfect moment to me.
Sitting with a cup of hot tea is relaxing for me. It’s a mental connection to slowing down, sip by sip.
It can help control your temperature.
Maybe this one is a stretch. But seriously. When it’s cold outside, a cup of hot tea warms you up. When it’s hot and sweltering outside, a tall glass of iced tea is cooling and refreshing.
It’s got awesome health benefits.
Boosts your immune system.
Helps increase memory, focus and concentration.
Has anti-inflammatory properties.
Helps fight free radicals in the body.
Some teas can help soothe the digestive system.
Can reduce risk for heart disease.
I drink tea all year round, and all day long. I may even be pretty close to a tea addict if we had to classify.
