Is there such a thing as too cozy?On March 1, 2019 by Laura R.
I almost started thinking Spring may be on the way…
But then I awoke early this morning to peek out of the kitchen window and see the driveway and cars covered with snow again…
Is there a thing as being too cozy?
A recent conversation came up between my mom and I about if it’s possible to have too many pillows on your bed. I think not. I’m all about being nestled in and cozy with all seven of my pillows. Plus the extra three super large throw pillows I have. In addition, I have (stopping to count) four blankets that sit stacked at the foot of my bed for extra chilly nights.
Let’s be real about who I am here.
I don’t believe that there is such a thing as “too cozy”. I’m an introverted workaholic. I need as much cozy as I can get. I’ve been spending most of days tucked under the covers with my laptop working away on reports, ads, and blog posts like a crazy hermit girl. When I come up for air, it’s usually to make another cup of tea.
Even my hobbies are cozy.
I paint. I paint a lot actually (in between typing away on the computer). I’ve managed to set up my room so that I can curl up under a blanket while I paint. I literally sit on my bed with my canvas and paints on my side table.
I read. Been on and off with it though the past year. I have five books currently started…I just started reading “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck“. Yup, it’s totally straight forward. I love it. I’m only one chapter in but it’s blowing my mind. Totally mellowing out that awful anxiety and worry I can have sometimes.
I love watching movies and Netflix and Amazon Prime. Lately I’m in between a House marathon on Amazon Prime and scary movies. Fuzzy socks and tv on is how I like life during the Winter!
That’s pretty much me during the cold months. This month, hopefully Spring will actually arrive in Pennsylvania and I’ll get back out to running and hiking. But for now, there is no such thing as too cozy.
